Open Call Competition is a career-focused dance competition based in Athens, Georgia, that connects dancers to industry opportunities through a specialized network of professional judges and industry contacts. Operating with the tagline "Today's Competitors. Tomorrow's Cast," Open Call distinguishes itself by featuring a judges' panel that includes working dancers, talent agents, directors, and choreographers from the professional performance industry. The company offers both competition and convention experiences, hosting regional events across the Southeast in cities including Columbus, Chattanooga, Montgomery, Charleston, and Asheville, with a nationals event held in Athens, Georgia. The competition operates three competitive levels: Apprentice (entry-level), Company (premier level), and Non-Competitive (performance only), with age divisions spanning Petite through Pre-Professional. Open Call's awards system includes traditional overall awards per age division as well as distinctive special recognitions such as Principal Lead Role, Lead Role, Camera Ready, and Face of Open Call.
