About dance competitions in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh is a compact, affordable competition city that dance families quietly love. Events cluster at suburban convention centers, downtown and airport-area hotels, and high school auditoriums in communities like Monroeville and Jefferson Hills, so most families drive between venues. Pittsburgh International Airport keeps fly-in trips easy, and the city's tight geography means attractions are rarely far from your hotel.

Between sessions, the payoff is a genuinely kid-friendly city, nicknamed "Kidsburgh" for good reason, with a dense set of science, zoo, and garden attractions plus an incline railway and riverfront views. Several are indoors, which is handy given how much of the season falls in cooler months. Pittsburgh delivers a big-city slate of things to do without big-city prices or hassle.

Competitions are commonly held at suburban convention centers, downtown and airport-area hotels, and high school auditoriums, and Pittsburgh International Airport plus the region's parkways make driving between venues the norm.
