GuiDANCE Experience operates as a national dance competition and convention company, hosting approximately 4 events per season across multiple cities including Pittsburgh, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Oklahoma City, Orange County, and Orlando. The company holds its annual nationals event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. GuiDANCE Experience distinguishes itself as the first and only YPAD (Youth Protection Advocates in Dance) certified competition, emphasizing healthy, holistic dancer development with certified faculty and staff who are background checked and CPR/First Aid certified. The company offers both competition and convention experiences, featuring an educational platform alongside their competitive events. Performances are judged on four components: Technique, Overall Impact, Stage Presence, and Execution. Their awards system includes the Leading Force of the Weekend, which provides a full scholarship to the recipient, and Forces of the Weekend awards that offer credit awards. GuiDANCE Experience promotes a family-friendly environment with age-appropriate standards, maintaining an inclusive, body-positive culture while fostering community building and artistic expression within the competitive dance experience.
