About Axiom Dance Convention

Axiom Dance Convention operates as a one-day dance convention format that takes place during the fall season across multiple cities in the Midwest and Northeast regions. As an extension of Legacy Dance Championships, Axiom focuses on comprehensive dance education rather than just combination classes, offering training in various genres including progressions, ballet technique, strength and conditioning, leaps and turns technique, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theater. The convention serves dancers across five age divisions: 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, and 16-19, with a special Mini room available for the youngest participants featuring half-day programming with four classes. Each Axiom event concludes with an ending showcase where scholarships are awarded to selected participants. The scholarship selection process involves directors and faculty evaluating dancers during audition classes throughout the day. Classes are taught by what the company describes as "the industry's leading educators and choreographers" who focus on building strong technical foundations and skills that dancers can apply to their everyday training. The convention emphasizes true training and exemplary technique, with the goal of ensuring every dancer leaves feeling inspired and equipped with new skills for their continued dance education.
