About 24 Seven Dance Convention
24 Seven Dance Convention is a national dance workshop and competition that tours to approximately 27 cities across the United States each season. Operating as part of the DanceOne brand family and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, the company offers both competitive opportunities and educational master classes with world-leading dance educators. Each convention weekend typically runs from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, featuring solo competitions on Friday, group competitions on Saturday morning, and workshop classes in styles including Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, and Tap throughout Saturday and Sunday. The competition uses a four-judge panel with a 100-point scoring system that emphasizes technique (50%), along with performance (20%), choreography and musicality (20%), and overall presentation (10%). Awards range from High Silver (255-263) through Gold (264-272), High Gold (273-281), Palladium (282-290), to the top "Stop the Clock!" designation (291-300). Winners receive first, second, and third place recognition per category, with top 10 soloists recognized on stage. The company accommodates dancers across six age divisions from Sidekick through Open levels and offers 12 different competition styles. Competition winners are eligible to participate in The Dance Awards, a national showcase event held in Las Vegas and Orlando.
