About Road to Broadway Mini Dance Competition
Road to Broadway Mini Dance Competition is a regional dance competition held annually in East Greenville, Pennsylvania, produced by Road to Broadway LLC and directed by Janet LaCava. The two-day event takes place at the East Greenville Fire Company Banquet Hall and accepts solos, duets, trios, groups, lines, and productions across styles including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, modern, musical theater, pointe, acro, and song & dance. Dancers compete within age groups spanning ages 5 through 36-and-over and skill levels from beginner to professional, including an "Angel" division for dancers with special needs. Both studio-affiliated and independent (unaffiliated) dancers may enter. Routines are scored out of 50 points by a panel of three judges, and awards are given at Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels; dancers receive immediate verbal critiques and written feedback. The organizer states an emphasis on affordability and on the well-being of the dancers.

Routines earn award levels of Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze, with thresholds that vary by division. For Intermediate, Advanced, and Pro entries: Platinum 47-50, Gold 42-46, Silver 31-41, Bronze 30 or below. For Beginner and Angel entries: Platinum 46-50, Gold 39-45, Silver 29-38, Bronze 28 or below.
Each routine is adjudicated by three judges and scored out of 50 points, with the three scores averaged. Dancers receive immediate verbal critiques after performing and written feedback on their score sheets.
