Awards, Judging & Scoring

Scoring System

Adjudication varies by level (300pt scale). Recreational: Gold <=240, High Gold 241-251, Platinum 252-274, Platinum Plus 275-300. Intermediate: Gold <=251, High Gold 252-260, Platinum 261-279, Platinum Plus 280-300. Elite: Gold <=262, High Gold 263-269, Platinum 270-284, Platinum Plus 285-300. Plus: Champion of the Category, Top Overall (1st/Top 3/5/10/20 by entry count), Artist of the Year nominations, Top Studios, Studio of Excellence, Platinum Power (most entertaining group/line), Heart of Gold, Sportsmanship.

Pricing

Registrations are confirmed with a $500 deposit. Early-bird discounts: 10% requires a $1000 deposit submitted by September 1st plus payment in full 90 days before the competition date; 5% requires payment in full 60 days before the competition date. Credit card payments incur a 3% processing charge. No refunds for competition fees. Any unpaid balance 2 weeks prior to the competition is assessed a late fee of 5% of the unpaid balance. (Tour-wide 2027 policy; no Spartanburg-specific entry-fee amounts published.)
