About Inspire National Dance Competition
Inspire National Dance Competition is a family-owned regional dance competition company founded in 2014 and based in Statesboro, Georgia. For its 2027 season Inspire hosts roughly 48 regional events across the Southeast (Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio), culminating in a National Finals held June 27 - July 2, 2027 in Orlando, Florida. Dancers compete in six age divisions (Mini through Adult) and four participation levels - Recreational, Competition, Competition Elite, and Inspiring GEMS (for dancers with physical, cognitive or intellectual disabilities). Routines are judged on a 300-point system weighted Technical Ability 35%, Synchronization/Execution 25%, Choreography/Routine 20%, and Presentation/Performance 20%, earning adjudicated tiers from Flawless Gem to Ruby. The awards program includes Overall Awards, Top Performers by genre, Inspire All-Stars, Photogenic ('Face of Inspire'), the signature Golden Egg Awards, and several Studio Awards. Inspire registers through DanceCompGenie and does not accept independent entries.

Each entry is adjudicated on a 300-point scale with tiered awards - Flawless Gem, Crystal Diamond, Diamond, Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby - with score ranges that vary by division (Recreational, Competition, Competition Elite); the Flawless Gem is reserved for Competition and Competition Elite routines. Additional recognition includes Overall Awards by level/age/entry type, Judges' Choice & Choreography Awards, eight Top Performer awards by genre, Inspire All-Stars (Junior/Teen/Senior Competition & Elite), the signature Golden Egg Awards and Golden Egg Wild Cards, Top Score of the Session, Photogenic ('Face of Inspire'), a Costume Award, and Studio Awards (Studio of Excellence, Most Entertaining, Spirit, and Sportsmanship).
All solos, duets/trios, and groups are judged on a 300-point system across four weighted criteria: Technical Ability (35%), Synchronization/Execution (25%), Choreography/Routine (20%), and Presentation/Performance (20%). Ties are broken by the technical score. All scoring is electronic; each studio receives a digital video recording of the judges' critiques, and scores are also available online.
