About Get The Beat USA
Get The Beat USA is the United States arm of Get The Beat (GTB), a family-owned dance competition company that has run events across Australia and Asia for 15 seasons. Its first US season, Season One, runs in 2027 and comprises six three-day regional competitions - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Novato, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Detroit, Michigan; Houston, Texas; and Las Vegas, Nevada - followed by a six-day National Finals at the Hawaii Theatre in Honolulu in December 2027. Dancers compete in six age divisions set two years apart (Mini, Petite, Pre Junior, Junior, Teen and Senior); solo, duo and trio ages are calculated from the first day of the event, while group divisions use the average age of the dancers in the act as at January 1 of the event year. Entry types include General Solo, My First Solo, Beginner Solo, Champion Solo, the Mr GTB and Miss GTB Title solos, duos, trios, small and large groups and productions, with a four-dancer minimum for groups. Routines are scored out of 100 by an international judging panel, sections are placed first through fifth, and every performer receives an award. The group package is charged once per dancer per event and covers unlimited group routines. A professional Pointe Shoot Love performance video is included in the price of every act, and selected dancers from the tour can earn Brent Street training camp vouchers and a two-week training experience in Australia.

The National Finals run Rookie of the Year (for My First Solo entrants from the regional tour), General Solo, Duo, Trio and Group sections, plus Miss USA Dance and Mr USA Dance (restricted to USA dancers who entered Title at a regional), USA Dancer of the Year and International Dancer of the Year. Qualification is earned at a 2027 regional tour stop: a score of 80 or above (platinum) qualifies solos, duos, trios and groups, while Dancer of the Year requires 90 or above. Sections are placed first through fifth with non-placing medals; the Miss and Mr USA Dance winners receive a crown or cap, sash and title; Dancer of the Year carries a $1,000 cash prize for each winner; and cash prizes are awarded to the Grand Champion group in each age division. A dancer cannot win Dancer of the Year in consecutive years.
Routines are scored out of 100 and returned with a clear score breakdown, so studios can see where each mark came from. GTB engages an international judging panel of adjudicators who are currently active in the industry, and every act receives instant audio feedback through the studio portal at no extra cost.
