DECAdance Competition offers both regional dance competitions and dance "un"conventions, serving the dance community since its founding in 2019. The company operates a national scope with regional competitions across multiple states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, and Rhode Island, culminating in a Nationals event held in Delaware. DECAdance distinguishes itself through its unique four-judge panel system that provides genre-specific adjudication with weighted technique scoring, working in partnership with Impact Dance Adjudicators to ensure expertise across all dance genres including tap, hip hop, and acro. The competition features a proprietary scoring system with specialty judges for each genre, live critiques for soloists, and skill-based rather than time-based leveling determined by a fifth routine monitor judge. DECAdance's judging panels include a combination of in-house adjudicators and pre-screened professional judges from their partner organization. Beyond competitions, the company offers dance "un"conventions that incorporate live music and focus on specialty genres like Latin ballroom and Bollywood, as well as customized in-studio educational events ranging from technique masterclasses to mock competitions with live feedback.
