Dance Prodigy Competition (DPC) is a regional dance competition based in the Lima, Ohio area that welcomes both studio and independent dancers, and also hosts two one-day dance conventions on the main stage of the Veteran's Memorial Civic & Convention Center in downtown Lima.

Score-based placement levels awarded per competition level: Elite (Double Platinum 288-300, Platinum 273-287.9, High Gold 258-272.9, Gold 243-257.9, High Silver 228-242.9, Silver 213-227.9), Intermediate (Double Platinum 285-300 down to Silver 210-224.9), and Novice (Double Platinum 282-300 down to Silver 207-221.9). Top awards are given in the Petite, Junior, Teen, Senior, and Adult age divisions, plus special awards (Choreography, Costume, Judges Choice 1/2/3, Director's Choice, Entertainment, and The Dance Prodigy Award). Every dancer is recognized with an award.
Each judge can award a routine up to 100 points, and all three judges' scores are combined to create the final score (max 300). Point deductions apply for gymnastic/acrobatic tricks in restricted categories, for exceeding routine time limits (10-point deduction), and for explicit music or age-inappropriate choreography (deduction or disqualification).

Pricing
Solo $150 (limit 2 per dancer), Duet/Trio $70/dancer, group dances $65/dancer, Titles $30, Photogenic $50; entries due by Jan 25, 2027; 10% early-bird discount if registered and paid in full by Dec 31, 2026; 4% surcharge for credit card payment. A separate one-day Convention (Feb 27, 2027, same weekend) is a $50/dancer add-on open to all dancers, not just competitors.
