Scoring System

Adjudicated scoring tiers vary by Performance Level. Spirit & Novice: Diamond 285-300, Platinum 273-284.9, High Gold 261-272.9, Gold 249-260.9. Intermediate: Diamond 288-300, Platinum 276-287.9, High Gold 264-275.9, Gold 252-263.9. Advanced: Diamond 291-300, Platinum 279-290.9, High Gold 267-278.9, Gold 255-266.9. Overalls: Top 3 / Top 5 / Top 10 per age, size, and division. Cash prizes (OneBeat Dance Dollars): Solos/Duo-Trios $75-$125, Small Groups $100-$150, Large Groups/Lines $100-$150, Production $200 (varies by level). Special: Convention Scholarship (50% off OneBeat Convention), DanceForward Scholarship (Advanced Teen/Senior), Title Awards (BTS Regional Champion), Photogenic Award, Industry Dance Award Nominees, OneBeat Apex Studio Award, Shooting/Rising/Stellar Star Awards (top group per level).

Tour-wide standard

Judging Criteria

3 judges, 100-point scale each (300 total per routine). Each judge considers technique, difficulty, execution, choreography, showmanship, and overall effect. Verbal critique given for every entry. Red Card = 2-point deduction (unanimous rule violation) or warning if non-unanimous. Content Awareness notes (no point deduction) for offensive/insensitive content.
