Activate Your Artistry (AYA) is a traveling dance convention, branded 'The Convention That Cares,' that runs weekend technique conventions on a multi-city regional tour and hosts a Concert Gala performance showcase where dancers can compete for scholarships and awards. It began as a bi-annual dance workshop before expanding to a full weekend convention.

- Awards system
Rather than traditional trophy placements, each competing dancer receives a scholarship or certificate from sponsors during the Gala. Named awards include Masterful Musicality, Excellence in Technique, Best In Costume Design, Best Concept, Stunning Staging (groups only), Best Choreography, Emotional Execution, and the Activated Award, each paired with a banner and an AYA certificate, cash prize, or sponsored scholarship opportunity.

Judging criteria:
Technique, Choreography, Performance Execution and Overall Impression. Each category accounts for 25 points of a total 100 points possible per faculty judge.
