About the Program
As a dancer at Western, you will learn progressive and inclusive approaches to technique, performance, and collaborative artmaking within a rich curriculum grounded in professional practices. The Department of Theatre and Dance (College of Fine and Performing Arts) offers a BA and BFA in Dance plus a Dance Minor in Bellingham, WA, with training in contemporary, hip-hop, and ballet styles, choreography, dance science, somatics, dance history, arts activism, and pedagogy.

The BFA is a selective program emphasizing advanced contemporary technique for professional performers/choreographers; the BA is flexible/tailorable.
