About the Program
The Webster Dance curriculum combines rigorous and versatile technical training with extensive opportunities for creative exploration that prepares students for 21st-century careers in dance as performers, choreographers, educators and scholars. The Department of Dance, housed in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University's St. Louis campus, offers BA and BFA degrees (with emphases in Ballet or Modern) plus a Dance minor, with training in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and aerial.

Facilities
The Jean and Wells Hobler Center for Dance features multiple studios with live musical accompaniment for ballet, modern and tap classes, including a 3,500 square-foot studio with a sprung Harlequin Woodspring dance floor and theatrical lighting for performance.
