BFA in Dance is 95 credit hours, focused primarily in Contemporary and Jazz technique with supplementary Ballet, Tap, and Yoga. Coursework organized into Core Technique, Choreography Sequence, Wellness Sequence (kinesiology, dance science), and Theoretical Sequence (dance history). Special-topics courses include Musical Theatre Dance, Hip-Hop, and Global Dance Forms; also Yoga: Physicality & Philosophy and somatic practices. BFA requires minimum 3.0 GPA in major and grade of C or better in all dance technique/theory courses. The BS in Dance is designed for careers in physical therapy, exercise science, education, and arts management.

Department mainstage season includes the Fredonia Dance Ensemble; New Works Series includes dance senior projects and chamber concerts. Housed in the Rockefeller Arts Center (Walter Gloor Mainstage).
