The Denard Haden School of Theatre and Dance at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas offers a Bachelor of Science in Dance. Curriculum includes choreography/dance composition, dance history, rhythmic analysis, production, theory and practice, performance, world dance, and improvisation. Students enroll in ballet, modern, or jazz each semester; minimum grade of C required in all major courses. Seniors complete an undergraduate research project via a choreographed concert production.

Performance Opportunities
Students have opportunities to perform, choreograph, create and participate in technical aspects of production. Select SFA theatre and dance students biennially tour an original production to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.
