About the Program
Spelman College is a historically Black, private, liberal arts college for women located in Atlanta, Georgia. Spelman offers a Dance Performance and Choreography major and a Dance minor, both housed within the College's liberal arts curriculum. As one of the leading HBCUs in the United States and part of the Atlanta University Center consortium (alongside Morehouse and Clark Atlanta), Spelman provides an environment where Black women dancers develop technical craft, choreographic voice, and cultural context.
