About the Program

Rollins College's Department of Theatre & Dance is housed in the Annie Russell Theatre and includes state-of-the-art facilities at the Tiedtke Theatre and Dance Centre with a blackbox theatre. Dance at Rollins is offered within the joint Theatre & Dance department. The dance program is directed by Robin Gerchman, Professor and Faculty Director of Dance, whose scholarship focuses on the interconnectedness of movement with multiple disciplines, aesthetics, criticism, and historical and cross-cultural perspectives.

Coursework

Joint Theatre & Dance department. Dance is offered as a standalone Minor in Dance (covering dance history, culture, composition, and instruction methods). The department also offers a joint Theatre Arts and Dance BA major whose concentrations are theatre-focused — there is no dance-specific degree track.
