About the Program
The dance major at Pacific University combines practical experience with rigorous academics in an intimate, holistic learning environment. As a dance major or minor students train in techniques devoted to ballet, contemporary and jazz, and study dance history, choreography, pedagogy, kinesiology and world cultures while completing integrative capstone projects. Students perform in Pacific Dance Ensemble, the university's pre-professional company, in two main stage concerts a year.
