About the Program

Mount Holyoke's Department of Dance inspires students to become impressive dancers, creative makers, critical thinkers, problem solvers, collaborators, and artists through interdisciplinary study. The BA and Minor in Dance combine performance, choreography, historical and cultural contexts, rhythmic analysis, and scientific foundations. As a member of the Five College Dance consortium, Mount Holyoke students take courses and perform alongside dancers at Amherst, Hampshire, Smith, and UMass Amherst.
