About the Program
The Jose Limon Dance Foundation carries forward Jose Limon's foundational legacy of modern dance training, established in the aftermath of WWII. Under Artistic Director Dante Puleio, the Foundation trains dancers in the Limon Technique through Pre-Professional and Professional Training Programs, alongside performance and career opportunities with the Limon Dance Company. The Foundation also runs a Summer NYC Dancer Intensive (June 22 - July 2) and a Summer NYC Teachers Workshop (July 13 - 17). Notable ongoing collaborations include a work with choreographer Akram Khan reimagining The Moor's Pavane.
