MFA in Dance requires 60 credit hours across low-residency two-year tracks (Emerging and Mid-Career), with in-person summer sessions at Hollins plus online fall/spring coursework; MFA emphasizes research, theory, history, criticism, and creative practices. An optional International Independent Study course (two-week international dance festival) begins Summer 2027. BA students may serve as arts administrative and production interns in the MFA program and pursue international study abroad (e.g., France, Czech Republic, Japan, Paris, Budapest).
