About the Program
Dance at Franklin and Marshall College is a major and minor housed within the Department of Theatre and Dance. Students study how to move and create as well as analyze, write about, and evaluate dance through a balanced set of courses that combine studio practice with analytical components, and may pursue joint or double majors with disciplines such as anthropology, biology, creative writing, economics, French, history, international studies, and psychology. Coursework spans technique, choreography, dance history and criticism, somatic and kinesiological science, dance production, and dance administration.
