About the Program
The Dance major at Drexel combines extensive stage and studio dance experiences with rigorous academic coursework, emphasizing community engagement and somatic inquiry to develop civically engaged artists across the physical, intellectual, creative, and therapeutic dimensions of dance. Curriculum includes required Laban Movement Analysis (DANC 216) plus electives such as Yoga. Program is a 186-credit BS with one co-op cycle. Also offers a Certificate in Dance Studies, a Dance BS / Education MS combined pathway, a Dance Part-Time Professional Option, and a 450-hour Drexel Pilates training program.
