About the Program

Columbia College Chicago offers a Dance BA and a Dance BFA within its School of Theatre and Dance. Students explore a variety of techniques including modern/contemporary, West African, ballet, and hip-hop and related street dance styles, gaining a strong physical foundation in dance technique and improvisation while also studying dance history and theory. Coursework

Performance Opportunities

The School of Theatre and Dance produces approximately 40 productions a year, giving students multiple opportunities to perform, dance, design, produce, choreograph, direct, and stage manage. Dancers work on original works.
