About the Program
The Bachelor of Arts in Dance at CSU Dominguez Hills offers each student the opportunity to develop creative and technical skills to become leaders in the field of dance as dancers, choreographers, and teachers. The BA also prepares students for graduate school (MFA, MA, or PhD in dance or related fields). The Dance program is multicultural and multi-ethnic by nature, offering a wide range of styles and techniques. Faculty are professional dancers, choreographers, and teachers offering classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Latin Social Dance, African dance, and more.

Multicultural curriculum: technique in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop, Latin social, African. Composition, Production, Global Dance Perspectives, Rhythmic Analysis, Dance for Children, Forces & Figures in Dance, Dance Kinesiology. Master classes with nationally known artists. Program is a member of the American College Dance Association (ACDA) — Baja Region.
Facilities
Two large dance studios with sprung floors and mirrored walls; main studio has ballet barres, grand piano, and digital audio and visual systems. Ballet and modern classes have live music accompaniment. University Theatre with over 400 seats. Ample locker and shower facilities.
Performance Opportunities
Two annual dance concerts (one each semester), including a Faculty/Guest Concert in the Fall. Mosaic Dance Company — a semi-professional touring student company.
